The county’s flagship men’s and ladies’ football teams will be part of a bumper triple header in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh next March.

Both teams will play Cork at the famous GAA stadium by the River Lee on Saturday, March 1st, with the Cork hurlers’ Division One League game against Kilkenny sandwiched between both games.

The action will get underway at 3 p.m. when Finbar Egan’s face a tough task against a county that were one the queens of the senior ladies’ football scene, winning six titles in a row between 2011 and 2016.

The Cork senior hurlers’ Division One League game against Kilkenny is pencilled in for 5 p.m. before attention switches to Davy Burke and the Roscommon senior men’s footballers for their Division Two clash against the Rebels at 7 p.m..

Roscommon LFGA confirmed the news on Friday morning, thanking officials in both counties that made the triple header possible alongside urging supporters to “make this a day to remember for all Rossie fans in the county”.
