Local school loses out in All Ireland semi-final

Glenamaddy Community School fell to a narrow defeat in its FAI Schools' Senior ‘B’ Girls' National Cup semi-final (U-20, small schools).
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair defeated the Glenamaddy school 2-1 in the All Ireland semi-final.
Ruby McGuire gave Glenamaddy Community School the dream start as she netted after three minutes but Maria Ní Ghallchoir equalised two minutes later.
Ní Ghallchoir struck for what proved to be the winner in the 30th minute. Try as they might Glenamaddy Community School was unable to find the equaliser as McGuire hit the post.
Glenamaddy Community School claimed the Connacht title with a won over St Clare's, Manorhamilton 7-6 on penalties, after the contest finished 4-4.
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair will face either St. Peter’s Community School, Passage West or Gaelcholáiste Chill Dara in the final.
